The fruity cocktail can be a fickle mistress. It woos us with its bright, bold colours and deliciously sweet flavours. But the tropical tipple can often be high in sugar and a bit too easy to drink. The combination can leave you feeling a little tipsy and hungry at the same time. If you like Piña Coladas, you’ll love this healthier, lower calorie Pineapple Banana Cocktail.
A whole fruits blend like this Pineapple Banana Cocktail, is a great way to get that same fruity feel without the artificial sugars, flavours and additives used in some commercial cocktail lounges.
Instead, adding a banana will create the creaminess without the need for coconut cream or thickeners. Using the whole fruit means the drink contains more beneficial fibre, so you’ll feel fuller for longer and you may not be reaching for the bar snacks, so soon.
